This green bedroom set came into the Morin's shop a couple weeks ago. It is an old set that had nicotine stains. At first the customer wanted to save the flowers.
The flowers are on all the pieces in the set.
She already picked out her knobs. I love the color of them.
All the flowers were hand painted. You can tell because when you run your fingers over them, it's raised. A lot of work went into the flowers.
There are 13 bunches in all.
Here you can see where the green paint has been cleaned.
The owner was going to have the outside parts for the furniture stained. This would have looked good, but she went home and got to thinking that she wanted it all stripped repainted fresh and have the flowers hand painted back on.
So the rest was stripped and sanded to be ready for primer then paint.
Everything was primed.
These are some flowers I started practicing for the bed.
I tried to match the flowers already there. I did good. Its the picture below on the left side. The problem was, as soon as I tried to do another bunch I couldn't do it. I tried over and over. So I did some of the flowers I do to see if the owner would be ok with mine. I was over the moon when she said I could. Now I can sleep at nigh. Haha!!
I still need to play around some more.
This is where the set is at right now. A few more coats and I get to bring them to my shop to do the flowers!!
